Food Options

Outside food and beverages are not allowed at Crow River Winery. If the wedding party or guests bring any outside food or drinks onto the property, the couple could face a fine of up to $500. Any outside food or beverages found will be disposed of, and guests may be asked to leave

REHEARSAL DINNER

Crow River Winery can cater for your rehearsal dinner for up to 60 people. The most popular dinner option is a pizza buffet with salad. Please ask an events team member for catering and bistro menus.

 

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Crow River Winery offers breakfast, lunch and snack options for your bridal party. These items are pre-purchased and served to the second f loor on your wedding day. Please ask an events team member for a copy of the catering and bistro menus.

 

COCKTAIL/SOCIAL HOUR SNACKS

We offer options for your wedding guests during cocktail or social hour. Freshly Popped Popcorn with Popcorn Machine $150 Our bartenders will take care of popping fresh popcorn for your guests from cocktail hour through the end of your dance. Snack Bar $65/per 50 people A selection of sweet and salty snacks for your guests to self-serve during your cocktail/social hour (or until gone). Crow River Winery will take care of set-up.

LATE NIGHT SNACKS

Late night snack options are served during your reception/dance at the time of your choosing from 8:00pm – 10:00pm. They are served using disposable plates, napkins and utensils. If you have a late night snack in mind that you don’t see on the list please ask your events team member for pricing.

 

Late night pizzas $18

Single topping 12” pizzas cut into squares. Each pizza serves approximately 6 people. Choose from pepperoni, cheese or sausage.

 

Nacho bar $250

Tortilla chips, warm nacho cheese, salsa, diced tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños, and sour cream. Serves up to 150 guests.

 

Cocktail sandwiches

$65/per 50 sandwiches Turkey or ham sandwiches on buttered slider buns.

Beverage Options

Beverage Options

Minnesota State Law prohibits consumption of alcohol by those less than 21 years old and Crow River Winery complies with this law. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. To comply with our licenses, we do not allow outside alcohol on Crow River Winery property. If the wedding party or guests bring outside alcohol onto the property, the couple could face a fine of up to $500. Any alcohol found will be disposed of, and guests may be asked to leave.

An events staff member will guide you as you determine the best beverage hosting options for your guest count and budget. We do not have a minimum for bar purchases. You may choose to do any combination of the items listed below. Crow River Winery has a full liquor license and offers beer, wine, hard cider and hard liquor options. A general rule of thumb for how much people drink is one drink, per person, per hour.

KEGS

Kegs are pre-purchased. Each keg contains approximately 120 glasses of beer. In the Great Hall Bar, there are four beer taps available. You can choose to host one or more kegs of beer at no cost to your guests, while also offering additional kegs for purchase. For instance, you might decide to host a keg of Coors Light, and have Summer Shandy, Grain Belt Premium, and Michelob Golden Light available for purchase. This means your guests can enjoy Coors Light for free (until that keg runs out), while they can buy Summer Shandy, Grain Belt Premium, and Michelob Golden Light if they prefer. An events team member can check keg availability for your favorite beers.

Many different brands/varieties are available. An events team member can check keg availability for your favorite beer. Popular varieties include; Kona Big Wave, Summer Shandy, Grain Belt Premium, Bobbing Bobber Brewing Company Kolsch, Surly Furious

 

WINE

Wine is pre-purchased by the case (12 bottles), with each case receiving a 10% discount. Prices range from $216 to $300 per case, depending on the variety selected, and each case contains approximately 48 glasses of wine. Bottles remaining at the end of the night may be taken home. While selecting a mix of white and red wines is a popular choice, we encourage you to choose wines that you and your family will enjoy most.

 

CIDER

We are excited to offer our canned hard cider for your guests. Cider is pre-purchased by the flat (24 cans). Cider flats are $75. An events team member can provide a list of the flavor options that are currently available. Cans remaining at the end of the night may be taken home. To help you select your favorite flavors, a complimentary cider flight coupon will be provided.

LIQUOR

All liquor is purchased by the cocktail. The price of each cocktail is determined by the liquor used and prices range from $6 - $10. We have a fully stocked liquor closet with the most popular spirits. If there is a certain liquor you would like us to have on hand for your wedding, please check with an events team member for availability. Options for hosting liquor are listed below.

 

Cash bar for liquor

Your guests will pay for each cocktail they purchase. Timed hosted liquor You may choose to host liquor for a specific time frame during your reception/dance – typically during cocktail hour. The bartenders will keep a tab for all cocktails served during the specified time frame. The tab for these drinks should be paid at the end of the night. Outside of this time frame, guests would pay for their own cocktails.

 

Hosted liquor with a pre-set spending limit

You can choose to host liquor up to a specified amount. Once the bar tab reaches this limit, the bartenders will inform the designated person. At this point, you can decide whether to stop hosting liquor or increase the spending limit. The final tab should be settled at the end of the night. After the limit is met, guests would pay for their own cocktails.

 

Hosted liquor with tickets

The bartenders can provide tickets you distribute to your bridal party, family or guests to be redeemed for cocktails. Redeemed tickets will be added to a tab to be paid at the end of the night. All other guests would pay for their own cocktails.

 

Full hosted liquor

Full hosted liquor is choosing to host liquor for the entire duration of your reception and dance. The bartenders will keep a tab of all cocktails served and the final tab should be settled at the end of the night.

DEPOSIT AND CONTRACT

After you’ve decided to host your wedding at Crow River Winery, we will send the contract and request for deposit. The deposit is $1,000 and nonrefundable. After we receive your deposit and signed contract, your wedding date is secure.

 

PAYMENTS

The total balance of your wedding is divided into three payments.

• The first payment is your $1000 deposit.

• The second payment is due six months before your wedding and is half of the price of your package. This amount and due date will be outlined in your contract.

• The third payment is due 14 days before your wedding. This payment includes the remaining package balance, package add-ons, hosted beverages, and any catering provided by Crow River Winery.

DESSERTS

You are welcome to bring in the dessert of your choice for your reception. We ask that you provide disposable plates, napkins and utensils for your dessert.

 

INDOOR CEREMONY

Crow River Winery has Box Elder Hall available for an indoor ceremony location. Box Elder Hall can seat 245 people with a small amount of standing room. If inclement weather is anticipated on your wedding day, we request that you finalize the ceremony location 48 hours in advance. Once your choice is made, we will be unable to accommodate any changes.

 

CATERING FOR YOUR RECEPTION

Crow River Winery has a list of caterers we work with on a frequent basis and know the ins-and-outs of catering here. This list can be provided upon request. Please contact the caterer of your choice directly. If you would like to use a caterer that is not on our list, we welcome them to cater at Crow River Winery, we just have the following requirements.

• A copy of their State of Minnesota Catering License. This is not the same as a restaurant, kitchen or business license.

• A copy of their Workman’s Compensation Insurance

• A $1,000,000 Liability Insurance Policy with Crow River Winery listed as a certificate holder

• The caterer provides staff to serve, clear dishes and wash dishes

• The use of disposable plates and utensils are not allowed for the meal. Caterers are welcome to use our china and flatware at no charge.

DECORATING

Decorating the day before your wedding is not guaranteed as we may have another wedding or event. If decorating the day before is not available, the room will be available at 11:00am on the day of your wedding to begin decorating.

 

We have the following restrictions when decorating:

• Securing or adhering anything to our walls is not permitted

• No glitter, confetti, flower petals or confetti popper are allowed

• The flame on candles must remain below the container they are in. No open flame is allowed.

• Decorating the courtyard fountain is not permitted

• If you are using a ladder on our property, we ask that you sign a liability waiver prior to use. If any of these items were found to be used, the contract signers are subject to an additional damage or cleaning fee.

 

DAY OF TIMELINE

You’re welcome to arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. to begin hair and make-up in the bridal suite. Our platinum and diamond packages include early arrival. If your package doesn’t cover early arrival but you wish to come before 10:00 a.m., you can still access the suite at 7:00 a.m. for a $150 fee. We will coordinate the start time for your ceremony with you. Most ceremonies at Crow River Winery are scheduled around 4:00 p.m., but you can choose your ceremony, dinner, and dance start times. Please note that last call is at midnight, and we recommend scheduling your final song around that time as well. All guests, including family and the bridal party, should leave the venue by 1:00 a.m. If you plan to have your dance end earlier than midnight, please let your events team member know.

FINALIZING YOUR WEDDING DAY DETAILS

A member of the Crow River Winery events team will assist you in creating a detailed profile for your wedding. About six months prior to your big day, we’ll send you a wedding questionnaire. This will include all the information we need to plan your ceremony, reception and other day of details. Once you complete the questionnaire, we’ll ask you to schedule a meeting with us, either in person or via Zoom. Following this meeting, we’ll put together a comprehensive profile with all the final details of your wedding. This profile will be shared with our staff to ensure everyone is informed and prepared for the day, from setup to the flow of events. Once you review and approve all the information in the profile, you will electronically sign it. This signature confirms that you have checked and agreed to all the details provided. After signing, the profile will be considered final. We aim to finalize your profile at least one month before your wedding, but no later than two weeks prior

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have local vendor information?

Yes! We have compiled a list of vendors that have received great reviews from other Crow River Winery couples. A Crow River Winery events team member can send you this list upon request.

 

Is Crow River Winery and the Courtyard open during our wedding?

Yes, our Tasting Room, Courtyard and Bistro are open during normal business hours. Your guests will enter the Great Hall using the Great Hall doors. Our tasting room and bistro guests do not go into the Great Hall.

 

Do you have restrictions on where we can take photos?

You are welcome to take photos anywhere on our property and that extends to our vineyards. We just ask that you don’t disturb the grapes.

 

Are there restrictions on where our guests can go?

Your guests are welcome to use any of our outdoor spaces. We welcome your guests to take a walk in the vineyard, explore the trail to the Luce Line, use our lawn games, or spend time in the courtyard.

 

Can guests leave cars in the parking lot overnight?

Yes and we encourage it! We prefer that they are picked up by 11:00am the day following your wedding.

 

Can our dog be part of our outdoor ceremony?

Absolutely! We just ask that they are leashed and cleaned up after.
